Our Transport
We use transport every day to get from one place to another. Transport means the different ways we
travel.
Some people walk or ride a bike. These are great for short trips and are good for the environment.
Others take the bus, train, or car to go to school, work, or shopping. Buses and trains carry many people
at once!
Cars are very common and can take you almost anywhere, but they can cause traffic and pollution if too
many are used.
For long journeys, people might take an airplane. Planes are very fast and can fly across countries and
oceans!
Boats are used on rivers, lakes, and seas. Some boats carry people, while others carry things like food
and toys.
There are so many kinds of transport, and each one is special in its own way. Which is your favorite way
to travel?

• How it makes you feel
Example Starter:
My favourite way to travel is by train. I like looking out of the window and seeing trees and animals. The
train goes very fast and it is fun to ride. I take the train when I go to visit my grandma. Sometimes, I go
with my family. I always feel happy and excited when I travel by train!
